Der Dokumentarfilm „Vessel“ begleitet über 7 Jahre die Aktivist:innen von “Women on Waves”, welche seit Anfang der 2000er Jahre reproduktive Gesundheitsleistungen inkl. Abtreibungen auf einem Schiff anbieten. Dadurch befinden sie sich außerhalb der territorialen Gewässer von Staaten, in denen Abtreibungen illegalisiert wurden. Der Film verfolgt nicht nur die Arbeit der Aktivist:innengruppe „Women on Waves“, sondern auch die Probleme, mit denen sie über die Jahre konfrontiert wurden. Anschließend ist noch Raum für Fragen zum Film und zu unserer Gruppe. Wir freuen uns, mit euch ins Gespräch zu kommen!
// The documentary „Vessel“ follows the activists of „Women on Waves“ for over seven years. Since the early 2000s, they have been providing reproductive health services, including abortions, on a ship. By doing so, they remain outside the territorial waters of countries where abortions are illegal. The film not only documents the work of the activist group „Women on Waves“ but also the challenges they faced over the years.
